When you get asked to shoot a destination wedding in the REDWOODS, you say YASSS! Kelsey and Scott got married in the cutest Northern California town of Fairfax. The quaint town is built around small Redwood groves. Maybe it’s because I’m an east coaster who fell hard for the west coast but imagine living in a town in a Redwood forrest. In a small Redwood grove friends and family gathered to celebrate the love of Kelsey and Scott.

Is it just me or are those some seriuos love vibes radiating through that glance? From the moment you meet Ashley and Pritom you can sense they such a beautiful loving steadfast relationship. They've got that type of love that is radiant, calm, quirky and fun! Ashley and Pritom chose to shoot a few family photos and engagement pics at their wedding venue Mt. Ida Farm. Who would of thought that warming the venue up before the wedding could be so fun! Pay close attention to Haley pup she was trying so hard to be still and just hang out with us. It's such a beautiful thing watching people find the love of their life, life partner and best friend all in the same person. Couldn't be more excited for the wedding!
Boris + Paul
A few celebratory birthday pints on a rooftop with Beverly Hills as a backdrop and the next thing you know your geeking out about your next CreATive adventure. Which is the only fitting birthday present for a good friend/ mat crossing yogi and downright standup kinda guy who a lot of you know by DJ REALLY CUTE CATS aka Paul. Here's a few take aways from my indoor cat safari session : there's no stalking cats, thats thier game; wrangling cats is a real struggle, the laser pointer always comes in for the win, oh and there's a proper way to provide cat butt support while holding a cat, yes this is in fact a thing; cats will know if your a dog person. When there’s an epic song or if your simply just feeling it strike the epic circle of life simba/ rifiki stance; yes you should 100% let loose and dance with your fur other! Enjoy all the Boris cuteness!
Katie + Nick
For it was not into my ear you whispered,
but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed,
but my soul.
Katie and Nick met while Nick was finishing his last year of fellowship in General Cardiology and Katie was working as a nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Northwestern in Chicago. When the Cath lab had been short staffed of fellows one week, Nick placed himself in the lab to help out. On a busy day in between cases, Nick approached Katie and introduced himself. Katie was immediately enamored by Nick. He was calm, confident and kind. His smile and laugh lit the room. Everyone seemed to be eased when he was around. As the two talked during that week, she realized had a total crush. Little to her knowledge, Nick also had developed a crush. After a few friends helped connect the dots for the two lovebirds, Nick asked Katie out on a date and the rest is history. Nick moved to Los Angeles, CA this past year to finish his final year of advanced training in Heart Failure and Transplant medicine. Katie followed and worked as a travel nurse in her initial love in Pediatrics. Nick proposed to Katie in LA during their California adventure year. The two moved back to Chicago and will get married in their hometown (they are coincidentally from the same town :) ) in Naperville, IL in 2018

Here my wrap up on how to live in a VAN :
- Find someone who makes all of life's simplicities more exciting
- Strip your life of all the materialist commotion
- Live simplistically
- Pack only your favorite things
- Everything should have at least two uses ( theres no such thing as being too creative)
- Find driving + convince store rituals so you don't go cray
Shortly realized that after hanging with these two that van jokes don't stay in the van, there essentially applicable to the all the rudiments of life.

There was nothing but charm nestled in the hills of Hot Springs, Virginia for Ann Marie + Adam's mountain chic wedding. The whole weekend was spent CELEBRATING LOVE! How riveting is that? A beautiful heart can imprint another soul with far more abundance than one could only imagine. There is no denying that Adam and Ann Marie have truly become the best version of themselves. The strength, playfulness, and lightness of the love these two have created is radiant and reflective to everyone they engage with. Every glance holds a beauty of telepathy. They read each others every thought, every emotion, and every desire; this all encompassing love is what happens when you MARRY YOUR BEST FREIND!

A Note from Annmarie:
We met at a crossfit gym in Fairfax, Virginia. I had just relocated to Northern Virginia for grad school and decided to find a gym nearby in the first week I moved. Adam was the kind of guy who knew everyone by their first name and could tell you at least one fact about each and every one of them. I immediately liked that about him. He payed attention to people and really listened. You could talk to him about anything, and boy did we talk.
A couple of weeks after meeting Adam, I knew I had a crush. It was the kind of thing where you get butterflies and brush off peoples' questions about it. I started looking to see if he was at the gym the second I walked in and casually asked him to dinner one night. I don't think he got it, because he didn't seem too urgent about going out with me! We started a nutrition challenge where everyone shared a google spreadsheet and casually flirted with me (I think)....in his weird way. Think: "Red wine and pepperoni as a snack? That's my kind of girl!" I fell in love with his sense of humor pretty quickly. I wasn't sure how to let on that I had a thing for him because every time I flirted or asked him out to do something he sort of dodged me! He wound up taking a trip out to a bachelor party and I got impatient. I think I sent him some kind of ridiculous email that pretty much got the point across. When he got back, we went out to a casual dinner after a work out and that was pretty much our first date! Then he came over to cook steak with me one night and we talked each others' ears off until he finally kissed me. Worth the wait.
Adam was full of surprises when we first started dating. It wasn't necessarily roses and chocolate (although sometimes it was…) He was thoughtful. He cared about me. He didn't freak out when I was brutally honest with him. He wasn't full of ups and downs. We could just be ourselves and enjoy each others' company. It was the weirdest, most normal experience of my life and I have never felt so at ease and so at home.
Adam and I got to know each other better through weekend trips to Charlottesville, Hot Springs, Culpeper, Richmond, a lucky Jamaica vacation, and other trips to visit family and friends. We got stronger as time went on and he proved to me over and over again that I will never have a reason not to trust him. He kept proving that he would be there to hold my hand no matter what and would never leave. I learned to trust that he really loved me as the person I am, including all of my faults and imperfections. He's instilled a trust and a confidence in me that I didn't know I could possess, just by being with me.
Adam faced his fears when he decided to start law school. We took a giant leap of faith and moved to Charlotte, NC, leaving all of our friends and most of our family behind. He proposed in our two bedroom apartment around midnight in October 2015. I knew something was up when he started pacing around the room aimlessly. I had just taken my contacts out and couldn't see him or the ring! I don't think either of us remember what was said, but there must have been a "yes" at some point.
Regardless of what our future holds, I am so incredibly proud of Adam and of us. We are so much better together than we are apart and I truly believe the best is yet to come. He told me so!

There's nothing quite like jumping off a redeye and into a photoshoot. Even though you didn't sleep your overly energized because you get to hang out with one of your best friends since middle school have a glass of wine and oh yea shoot her engagement photos!
Here's a little bit about Ann Marie + Adam....
Ann Marie and Adam will each will tell you that the other is the better half. She shook him out of his comfort zone and he kept her grounded. They met at the gym where she was immediately drawn to his outgoing personality and welcoming demeanor. He played it cool while she pursued him until he finally gave in and the first casual date FINALLY happened! Their relationship has grown slowly and steadily ever since day one, and they continue to keep each other laughing through life's ups and downs. The support and love they feel for one another is relentless, and a resilient bond has formed between them through 5 years of simple playfulness, respect, trust, and pure happiness. The engaged couple will be happily married on June 10, 2017 when they'll start their life together as partners in crime, in life and in work outs from time to time.

Sometimes life is just simple, when you know you know. There is no denying these two radiate on the same vibration. They've got that fire!

Megan + Lenny
Sometimes you just need to throw your hair down + make beautiful memories with the ones you can't seem to spend a day without. Its the type of presence, that floods the room when you fur other squeals from excitement when you walk through the front door. Make sure you always give it back, the return of energy. There lives might be shorter than ours but their love is will always be unconditional, it's the great lesson they gift us. Lenny was recently diagnosed with a autoimmune disorder and has been fighting the good fight. Her strength to stay alive is unwilling. Megan started celebrating everyday Lenny is alive. Almost everyday was Lenny Day! Lenny went from barely being able to walk to hiking 14ers, strenuous mountain peaks in CO.
Leeron + Mike
There's about to be 3! As if Mike and Leeron weren't radiant enough, there about to introduce a baby girl into the world. They make pregnancy have such a zenful look, right?

Ingrid + Mikey
Ingrid and Mikey met in college. Ingrid was hosting a party and Mikey was immediately drawn to Ingrids swift and gorgeous presence. Ingrid played up the typical girl move and immediately started off the relationship with the lets just be friends who hang out all the time line. Shortly after meeting they started dating. It's been 5 years now and there's not a passion they have for each other that doesn't ignite whether its mimicking there pup Chole or fiercely taking on life's adventures.
A Adventure into the the Hills of Malibu
There's no better way to spend the day other than packing up the car blaring your favorite music and taking off on an adventure. The afternoon was filled with hiking, climbing around in caves, Tomas picked up his guitar after we hunted out perfect lighting . The first song he played was a beautiful song he wrote for Glady. Between the gorgeous lighting, music and beautiful vibe other people passing through tried to sit down and hang out with us. Tomas and Glady even had a fan club of soowing teenage girls, who just had to hear there story.
